Being a Human

Five Senses

By Charlotte DreyerPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

The world is a symphony of senses,

A kaleidoscope of sensations intense,

From the sight of a sunrise's gentle glow,

To the taste of a berry, sweet and slow.

The eyes take in a world of wonder,

With colors and shapes that pull us under,

A painting of beauty that's always new,

A canvas of life, painted just for you.

The nose, a master of memories,

With scents that transport us to reveries,

Of childhood homes, of old loves lost,

Of sweet perfumes and autumn's frost.

The ears, a gateway to the soul,

A soundboard of life, a story to unfold,

From laughter's joy to tears of pain,

A melody of emotions, a never-ending refrain.

The tongue, a taste bud's delight,

A feast of flavors, a gastronomic flight,

From savory to sweet, a culinary dream,

A symphony of tastes, a flavor supreme.

And finally, the touch that we feel,

A sensation so real, it's almost surreal,

From a lover's caress to a gentle breeze,

A touch that comforts, a touch that frees.

So let us revel in these senses five,

And embrace this world that makes us alive,

For in each moment, there's a sense to find,

And a life to live that's one of a kind.
