Before You Give Your Light

This poem belongs to Chapter 1: Soul Awakening An invitation to light your inner flame before guiding the path of others.”

By Liora Vogel Published 7 months ago 1 min read

It’s okay to want to help —

to heal others’ wounds,

to hold broken worlds

with hands full of light.

But never forget

your own cracks.

Don’t abandon yourself.

Your soul is a temple,

your body a sanctuary,

and you —

a sacred universe.

Before you give your light,

you must be at home

within yourself.

To shine outward,

your inner flame

must burn effortlessly.

Don’t carry burdens

that don’t belong to you.

Don’t overextend yourself

in the name of love

or duty.

When you do,

you corrupt something pure:

your essence.

Fight with strength —

but also fight for yourself.

Walk your path with love —

but not at the cost of your peace.

Your happiness is not a luxury.

It is the foundation

from which others

begin to heal.

You must be whole

to help complete

the story of someone else.

Protect your light.

Respect yourself.

And love yourself first.

The world doesn’t need

your sacrifice —

it needs your truth.
