Baby Ruth
A poem for the Short and Sweet challenge. This poem is dedicated to one of my best friends who is like a grandfather to me.

My dear,
you are my
Baby Ruth.
From afar,
my lips get waxy, damp, and wet
for you, my boop!
I can’t move on,
walk, sit down, lay down, or rest
if I don’t take a bite
of you!
I’ll be glee and fine
with even just one bite
of my Baby Ruth.
My dear,
I can’t lose
my Baby Ruth.
Come back,
so I can grab a bite,
eat and chew all day.
When can I get
more Baby Ruth bars?!
The time will come,
but I want more,
more, more, and more!
My home
will be full
of Baby Ruth bars
in days, weeks, and months!
I’ll just have to wait!
