Autophobia

The Fear of Being Alone

By Moe BonapartePublished 8 years ago 1 min read

Are you afraid of being alone?

You will have to push through,

because you are not on your own.

You have a monster with you.

But they won't be sleeping under your bed,

so don't be scared.

Instead, they will be screaming inside your head.

So let them free, but only if you dare.

You cannot destroy a monster

without becoming one yourself.

You must believe and conquer.

But it will most likely be a bombshell.

Are you afraid of being alone?

Just remember that you're not on your own.

I have swam in the lake of imposters.

Just to feel what it's like to pretend.

But there are no dreams in the lakes, only monsters.

And the monsters were my only friends.

Why should I apologize for the monster I've become?

No one apologized for making me this way.
