Audacious

Color me loud, Color me unapologetic, Color me audacious

By James BrittainPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Color me audacious

I am a neon orange and pink tangerine scream

Color me audacious

I am the feather of a flamingo, and this extremophile will drink up any tea you have to spill no matter how hot or cold

Color me audacious

I am the courage and confidence of a war veteran stuffed into the body of a four year old boy in a hot pink tutu and gold purse marching to the first pew in church

Color me audacious

I am a black eye worn proudly without coverup, by a girl who took on a boy four times her size because she would not tolerate bullying

Color me audacious

I am a grandparent raising a fabulous little kid relearning the dance of parenting with all new steps along the way

Color me loud

Color me unapologetic

Color me with joy and sadness, with righteous anger, and with bliss and outrageous defiant self love

Color me audacious

And know that I will never mute my tones
