Hours have gone by

Every second ticks slowly

Our voices danced along

As the conversation went on

Your laughter filled my ears

Got thoughts of you on my mind

Anticipation you see

Is the situation that be

I’m feeling bashful like a doe

Wondering how it’ll go

I see you moving in close

But is it for reasons, you know

One can only hope

For it to go down that road

It’s now the middle of the night

And were still side by side

We’ve gotten now where it seems

When out the blue you dove in

Anticipation you see

Is the situation that be

I’m feeling bashful like a doe

Wondering how it’ll go

But now that its going

Expectations are flowing

I’m pulling you closer

To never let you go

Now I’m through waiting

And stressing the seconds

Even if I only hold you for just the night

love poems
