Everyday that goes by

When he’s not around

I just lay in our bed

And cry-----

Missing him while

He’s off at war wondering

When he’ll come by

Cause Lord knows

I miss his arms around me

And how he draws me in

With that smile-of-his

And drives me crazy with

Those deep blue eyes

But he is out of the house

And he’s shooting his gun

Putting his life on the line—

For mine----

I couldn’t ask for a better guy

Cause Lord knows

I miss his arms around me

And how he draws me in

With that smile-of-his

And drives me crazy with

Those deep blue eyes

But when I see him again he’ll

Put his hand in mine

And tell me he is doing fi---ne

And to stop worrying and to cherish

Our ti---me before he heads off again

Cause Lord knows

I’ll miss his arms around me

And how he draws me in

With that smile-of-his

And drives me crazy with

Those deep blue eyes
