Amber Morning Light

Abecedarian reflecting a common daily struggle.

amber light

breaks through

clouds overhead

dawn's calling

Everything still

Fresh beginning

Good morning

Hello sunshine

intimate moments

Juxtaposed minutes

Life calls

Mapped-out day

Need coffee

Open door

Push yourself

Quit procrastinating

Ready or not

Society, here I come

Today's the day

Unless it's not

Varying degrees of confidence

Wavering esteem

X-ray vision

Oooh, the ending is great, a more motivational end than I was anticipating, given what came before and all the procrastinating. I relate so hard to this! "Society, here I come Today's the day Unless it's not Varying degrees of confidence Wavering esteem" The unending struggle. I really like this one, Paul! I think "Are you serious?" is my favorite because of the sharpness and the flow; this one has a very different flow, more stilted, but that of course makes sense because of the struggle to get up and get going. It's quite stream of consciousness and takes a couple readings to see all the emotions come through. Very well done!

Firstly, the picture is phenomenal. I love it. Secondly, the poem is also phenomenal. "Juxtaposed minutes" is an awesome phrase/ line. "Ready or not Society, here I come" That was my other favourite part, I can't explain exactly why I like it so much. You have a way of making rules/ restrictions not even noticeable because your writing flows so easily. Also, forgot to say on If You Know, You Know, but that cover image was also awesome!

Loved this Paul! Good luck to you!!❤️

  • I couldn't help but notice that a, b, c, d and i aren't capitalised. Was that on purpose? Are you trying to send a secret message? Lol. Loved your Abecedarian!

  • Nicely motivated, Paul.
