All Summer Long

Challenge #1 Sweet Summer Song: Pick a song that represents summer for you. Use the song as the title of your piece, and to inspire either a poem or a short story/micro fiction about summer. Feel free to use some of the song's lyrics in your piece as well. So what does summer feel like for you?

The song, “All Summer Long,” by Kid Rock was released in March 2008 as the third single from his seventh studio album, Rock n Roll Jesus (2007).

Even though this song was released long after I lived those sweet summer days, I have never heard another song that describes so perfectly those feeling's of freedom and joy that I felt back then. Every time I hear it I’m transported back to that time.
