Ain't for Me

We Could Be Beautiful

Ain't for Me - Sara Rose

I’ve been meaning to mention you’ve been on my mind

And every second that I’ve been meaning to call you

And tell you that I’m fine

Just doesn’t matter anymore

No, no, no

Too long, too far to go

You broke my heart I told you so

You were like a river in rage

Letting love wash away

You won’t see my heart go down

The water may be cold but there’s only love pumping through these veins

I’m breathing under water

But the woman in me she’s brave

So if this is your kind of love

It ain’t for me

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no

It ain’t for me

I’ve never seen a love as right as this is wrong

Sweep a lady off her feet and watch her float along

You’ve got a rhythm I can’t figure out

As dark as you’re bold, you’re up then you’re down

Oh, oh, oh

Too long, too far to go

You broke my heart I told you so

You were like a river in rage

Letting love wash away

You won’t see my heart go down

The water may be cold but there’s only love pumping through these veins

I’m breathing under water

But the woman in me she’s brave

So if this is your kind of love

It ain’t for me

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no

It ain’t for me

Your words tumble rapidly over any river bed

Stealing anything in your path, what kind of life have you lead

My hands are folded on my knees

Isn’t love supposed to be unconditionally free?

You won’t see my heart go down

The water may be cold but there’s only love pumping through these veins

I’m breathing under water

But the woman in me she’s brave
