After Her

To Fail in Love

By Justin CoccimiglioPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

After her,

After I freed her in my mind,

After I failed to love her,

I knew she never loved me.

She loved me as a friend,

She loved me as a man,

She loved me as a person,

But to love and be in love are so not the same.

After her,

I tried to move on,

I tried to forget,

I failed at that too.

Now,

I live day to day,

Still looking for a reason,

To stop loving her.
