A Ticket to Hell

I didn’t think I would be triggered today. But here we are. Being triggered leads to dark poetry, and an end to writers block I suppose or maybe it’s the beginning again, oh my gosh noooooo. Come join me. Pretty please. 🙏🏽

If I were to wake In hell

Then I would’ve wasted my health

If I threw anger like lava

Then I will burn on earth where I stay

*

To save the young from the one under

The one I will leave behind with age

The one who will hunger

Until she finds the sage

*

There’s no good in the world

We took it all to the grave

If I woke up in hell

I will surrender

The 29 years I’ve lived

Wasting time with anger

But it wrinkles my skin

*

Frustrating the peace

Stay in the cage

Until I am kind again

That’s when I will say

*

There’s nothing BUT good in this world

Are you a friend or foe

Or wind in the cold

I say don’t provoke the smoke

*

But it’s me that’s in control

I’ve got to fight the sick and sow

Fruits of love and peace

When my eyes are closed

*

If I were to wake up in hell

I’ll wake with a bleeding nose

I am at war with myself

There’s things she does that I don’t share

*

Before I go to bed tonight

She will scream in my head and bite

And I will say, go to sleep you sick beast — I don’t care tonight

*

Bride of anger

When will you surrender?

You say to me

The day you squander hells bread

Your yeast will make you rise instead

So I die tonight

I die to myself

*

The idea for this layout came from reading Komals work over time.

A/N: Too triggered to write a proper a/n. But I hope you all are doing well. Hopefully no one else is triggered today. Thank you so much if you got this far ♥️🤗🙏🏽

I hope this descent into dark thoughts was temporary, Caitlin, and you are back to your brilliant life-loving self.

The imagery of hell, fire, and smoke gives this so much intensity.

Nice comeback Caitlin, you didn't need to worry and although it may be different in context for you, it stirs the blood and gets you going. Nice job and welcome back 😉😉

  • Oooo, bride of anger, I especially loved that. I'm so sorry you're triggered but hey, like you said, a poem came out of it and I hope it helped you process your emotions. Hope you're feeling better now. Sending you lots of love and hugs ❤️
