A Storm for Jamaica. A Rainbow rose for my tiny country's safe survival.
Prayers painting the sky.

Hands joined in prayer
A mighty storm named Melissa meanders
As the wrath of nature descends
Breaths held - watching - anticipating
Hoping for the best - a slow path doth fury slither
Nature does not play fair, unleashing wrath
Chastising the guilty and innocent alike
The hands of the tide of time are unstoppable
They unfurl - unfold...gathering a mighty breath
Waiting to exhale...
The last storm was in 1988, a category 3 - it destroyed the island.
Melissa is a category 5.

Prayers for the people and beautiful lands of Jamaica. 🙏🏽💙🕊️🌿
⛈️ "Nature does not play fair, unleashing wrath/Chastising the guilty and innocent alike" ... and this, dear Novel, is one of my greatest laments. Maybe that's one reason I write and play My Music, almost nonstop: I'm riding the winds and waves that I cast into the world as songs... instead of being destroyed by Life's Wraths, I create. Great Writing & Stunning Picture! ⛈️💜⛈️
Prayers and hopes of a complete change in direction for all the islands. Prayers for safety for everyone. Let's keep the faith light burning.
Thank you for this call to prayer for your beautiful homeland. 💙
Prayers going up for everyone's safety. And that it loses strength. Better yet, miss them entirely. 🙏
My thoughts are going out to your home country! Wonderful poem, though, with beautiful images accompanying it.
My exwife is named Melissa. I hope the Caribbean weathers her namesake better than I did. Scary natural forces, I’m worried for the people living in the path of this storm.
I hope that storm blows itself out over the Atlantic. Powerful and moving words
Prayers for your island!
