A monkey plays piano

Roll up see the monkey play

A monkey plays piano

A monkey perched upon a stool,

By some strange fate or cosmic rule,

Its nimble fingers, swift and free,

Danced across the ivory.

The crowd leaned close, a gasping cheer,

For never had they thought to hear

A tune so sweet, so oddly right,

Fingers that gripped with playful might.

The monkey swayed, its tail in time,

Its eyes alight with joy sublime.

A jazzy beat, a soulful strain,

A hint of sunshine, dash of rain.

The grand piano groaned and sighed,

As chords and notes were unified.

A maestro born, by jungle chance,

With rhythm’s gift and art’s romance.

The people clapped, their spirits raised,

The monkey bowed, their wonder praised.

And somewhere in the moonlit trees,

A jungle hummed with melodies.

This reminds me of the Hurdy Gurdy monkey stories in a way. Good job.
