A Letter to the Sea
The sea can keep secrets you know

A Letter to the Sea
I wrote a letter to the tide,
And threw it where the breakers fell,
It carried words I could not speak,
To places only dreams could tell.
The sea replied in foam and sighs,
Its voice was soft but never weak,
It spoke of all the souls it held,
Of secrets deep, of things antique.
It told me love was born in waves,
It told me grief was carved in stone,
It said that time is just a tide,
And none of us are ever alone.
The years have passed, the shore changed,
The cliffs now crumble into spray,
But still I write and send my heart,
To where the sea can take it away.
And when I die, if I may choose,
Let my soul drift beyond the foam,
For there among the endless blue,
The sea will sing that I am home.

Almost like writing a message and putting it in a bottle and throwing into the sea. You did this with this one. Good job.
Beautiful, Marie. I always wanted to live by the sea but now it seems dangerous with the climate change and all its hurricanes, tsunamis and high winds.
