Lip Service

Disservice

By Harper LewisPublished about 5 hours ago 1 min read

Lip service is disservice,

passive, dishonest disrespect,

an unspoken assertion:

Not worth truth, time, or trouble,

trust tossed in a blind game of keepaway.

Doesn’t matter if it shatters,

they’ll just grab someone else’s

and continue the game.

Yes, it is a game... One that I don't want to play anymore. Loved the opening lines!
