A Dream Within A Dream
My thirty-fifth dark poem in the series inspired by Dharrsheena and My Entry Into The Vocal Full Moon Challenge

This is for the Vocal Full Moon Challenge that you can read about below.
This is also my thirty-fifth dark poem in the series inspired by Dharrsheena, a more subdued than my usual offerings.
The music I have chosen is "The Whole Of The Moon" by The Waterboys to go with the challenge title.

Down Corridors of Broken Glass
Shimmering As The Moon Comes Down
My Feet Are Bleeding, Chewed By Rats
Skeleton In A Silver Gown

Walking, Bleeding Thereβs No Escape
This Corridorβs Never Ending
It All Explodes, And I Awake
I See A Devil Descending

A Pitchfork To Skewer My Soul
He Strikes With Force And Makes Me Fall
Into The Pit Of Screaming Hell
This Is Where Lucifer Once Fell

Wake From A Dream Within A Dream
I Have Seen Hell, And Now I Scream

I feel like this poem reaches down deep into hidden thoughts and fears. What an awesome piece! Also, the music helped. π
Love this one! Great job, Mike!
Great poem. Well done
Relatable to me! Fantastic work!
Omggg I've experienced this before. It was soooo tiring. Because I kept waking up from the dream only to find out that I only woke up from my dream in the dream and it kept repeating like a loop. It was terrible! Your poem was fantastic!
