A DIFFERENT RAINBOW

By Tom Golden

By Thomas Golden, Ph.D.Published 5 years ago 1 min read

Good morning children.

Today, let us talk about color.

Not green, not red, nor blue.

No paint, no paper, no glue.

Today the color is you.

Say Sonia, what’s your color.

Brown, I guess, says my mother.

Michelle, and what about you?

She’s Black, that’s easy to see.

Yes, I’m Black. And she asked me!

And Mike, what’s your color?

Like you Ms. Mueller, white’s the name.

Well, sort of Mike, it’s not quite the same.

And Sue, please tell us your color.

Yellow they say, cause I’m Chinese.

Your not yellow, that’s just a tease.

Please, Ms. Mueller, stop them please.
