You run from da bus,
crossing streets I see.
Looking left and right,
in a rush what it be.
I hold da door,
just to watch you glance and grin.
Spoke out to you complimenting,
your perfect timing once again.
At a moment I travel,
from road to roads.
Through and across sidewalks,
venturing different area codes.
I picture your laugh,
watching other’s ears collapse.
Followed with a gracious smirk,
and a dimple to compliment your smile,
which is worth a walk to surpass even a million miles.
A deep illustration of one who I admire,
as your eyes cross mine of equal desire.
You see me
I see you
As we glance and share stares from across the way,
imma soak up this moment with you,
Because it’s just one day.
I watch as she stretches,
and fine tunes her posture.
Still holding the same value,
to which her 30 second past,
is equal to her present,
and not mirroring an imposter.
In my own thoughts,
we shyly balance each other.
Our frequencies,
bounce differently,
however wave back equally,
with one another.
Maybe she can save me?
As I her?
Masked in our own personal culture.
And just as I watch you walk away,
this 20 minutes feels like life’s torture.
Even though it felt as an eternity to be part of your day,
I gotta say,
we never exchanged names,
only glances and glares which vibe the same way.
But I start to make arrangements,
hoping to meet you tomorrow,
standing in line with Time,
asking the Future if I can borrow,
You
