A Breast Cancer Awareness Month Limerick
Early detection saves lives

October 13th was National No Bra Day. It was a day when women were encouraged to go bra-less to encourage Breast Cancer Awareness. That is the purpose of this post. When researching it I came across the meme and it provided me with the "inspiration" for the limerick that is in the post. Breast Cancer Awareness is a serious matter. Early detection gives the best chance for a good outcome with any type of cancer and particularly Breast Cancer.
However, I have always believed that wisdom is enhanced with a little bit of wit and rhyme. That said, I saw the meme and you know what happened next – a limerick. And a limerick with a topic that set up two word jokes within it. I simply couldn’t resist, just as I can’t resist looking at bra less breasts. Sorry, it’s a man thing.
One of a man’s stiffest tests
Is not reacting when he sees bra less breasts
He’d have no excuse
And would face scathing abuse…
Empowered women get things off their chests!
And getting things off their chests is a good thing. First, and most important, is to remove any suspicious tissue discovered through self-breast exams and mammograms. Second, it is no secret that women have an aversion to wearing bras and will take them off as soon as they aren’t necessary as a clothing accessory. And third, women love to let men know what they have on their minds when they disapprove of what men have on their minds i.e. “Look at me. My eyes are right here!”
