A blessing from the thorn.

From the scorn of winter, it shall be remade,

From the bursting of sunlight, it shall be told,

Neither from the exchange of silver, nor gold to trade,

For no ruby could pay the price for it to be sold,

From the harshness of the blizzard shall it be tested,

From the depths of betrayal, it shall be taught,

From the scorn of cold, it shall then be rested,

From the hatred of its enemy and all it had wrought,

From the depths of sorrow, shall it be strengthened,

From the forging of pain, it shall be made powerful, through strife,

From the depths of despair, it shall be heightened,

From the test of faith, it shall soon be found... Life...
