89 Seconds to Midnight

The Ticking Doomsday Clock

Tick. Tick. Tick.

The Doomsday Clock marches on

89 seconds to midnight

Our end is nigh

Half the world is freezing

Half the world is burning

The Wheel of Progress has stopped turning

The threat of tariffs looms

As war rages on

On the battlefield

On the internet

At home

The government is a farce

An orangutan pulls the strings

But who pulls his strings?

Watch the shadow puppeteer laugh

At the destruction he has caused

Without even lifting a finger

Thinking his day will come

If we don’t push back

The clock will only tick forward

His day will truly come—

Everyone’s day will.

Chilling and powerful! The urgency is palpable, the imagery razor-sharp. A ticking time bomb of truth wrapped in poetic brilliance.
