George was just too much
He went where others wouldn't
So they banned his book

OK, I went for the obvious one here. Too easy, I know. Anyway, this is in response to Judey Kalchik's Book Review Haiku challenge:
There might be more coming. Who knows?

One of my all time favs 😍
Ooo this is a great book! Love your haiku. 💗
You know I love this! Great minds and all that. 😋
One of my favorite and oft-overlooked books. Oh, yeah.
Great work!
I was in a band that a member wrote a song based on the book, in the same year of 1984. The lyrics went, Here in 1984 someone has closed the Door on me, there is no pleasure, just pain in a country that rains on me 😎
I love this book so much! Have you read down and out in pairs and London by orwell? also a great one, great haiku, wish I could write them but alas I can not
Oh my word, I loved your take on this one, Dana!!
Oh no, someone else chose this book too but I can't recall who was it 😅 Awesome Haiku-review!
Excellent work, Dana, except that the second line, "Went where others wouldn't" only has six syllables instead of seven. (1-went, 2-where, 3-o, 4-thers, 5-would, 6-n't) "He went where others wouldn't" would make it seven.
Another great one! 🤗 Haikus are fun ☺️
Stop being so good!
George went for it and Dana did too ! 👏😊👏
Love this one! Great job. Im feeling like I should jump on this trend, everyone is killing it!
I hope there are more. And THAT is the creepiest cover!
Haha. Well done.
Funny thing about banning books, though. You draw attention to them and make people even more interested in seeing what they have to say. And 1984 is a book more people should read, though I think it could stand to be used less hyperbolically 😂
Rather succinct... Not much else to be said about it. Well done!
