Introduction

While going through Vocal's Poetry tags for some reason. Pantoum caught my eye. I thought I would investigate it and the third result is below.

Since I passed 1900 in my Vocal stories, each of the next 106 stories may coincide with years of significance. The Second World War was between 1939 and 1945 so they are significant, and I am using them to share two more pro-peace messages in Pantoum form.

The music is "Hiroshima" by Utopia

We Must Must Work Harder To Secure World Peace

Unless We Junk The Bombs And Make Wars Cease

    Magnificently written!!! Historical and tragic!!!

  • Tragic, devastating mushroom coulds. Loved your poem!

  • Unfortunately, we seem to be best at learning the wrong lessons. We may say, "Never again," but our actions seem to say that bigger is better & we have to have the biggest in order to keep the others at bay--something that obviously doesn't work anyway.

The tragedy and waste is gut wrenching, even 79 years later. The only miracle in all of this is that it has yet to be repeated. Excellent work, Mike. Some events should never be forgotten.

    Good piece!

    Great piece here

  • Interesting how you added a track from Utopia's album Ra. I was more partial to Communion With The Sun myself, but that is besides the point.
