18:6 Fasting
The poem I've written is based on my first week of Intermittent fasting.
Eat less + move more = lost weight
Temptation multiplied by hormones
divided by goals with additional trauma
multiplied by PCOS plus media influences squared
equals a daily struggle with self-esteem.
*
Desperate times calls for desperate measures
The blue corner says you're not putting enough in
The red corner says you're trying too hard
The voice inside said you're never gonna do it
*
I should be skinny for the amount of movement I do
I walk over 10,000 steps a day, 50KM a week
Six to eight gym classes and vegetarian meals
101 - 86 within two years, but it should be more
*
Seven days of water, coffee or tea for breakfast
Followed by dizziness and headaches that vanish
On my lunch break and once the eating window
Closes at 8pm, fatigue fades till dawn approaches
I'm hoping this works, and I can be cured one day
*
I don't think about cakes as much, but when I'm
strolling by a bakery, the sugar sparkles in a way
that brings in nostalgia but it's so synthetic, so I
walk away and forget it, until I stop by the next shop.
I resisted today, the baked goods looked like art.

Fantastic and relatable!!!❤️❤️💕
Baked goods definitely look like art. Enticing to our mouth for sure. This so relatable. I fast for my health. The temptation can be unbearable at time but keeping the eye on the ultimate outcome can be motivating. Wishing you the best always ❤️
It’s tough to stay strong when temptations are everywhere. Thank you for sharing your journey
