What I learned as an autistic woman

Is simple: what I want dosen't matter

My dreams and wishes mean nothing

They're taking away my rights, yours too

Every breath is criminalised, my life is

misremembered, misheard, misunderstood

They want to babysit, gaslight and shelter

Treat you like a baby, a doll or a patient

that needs fixing, cured and then discharged

Autism is not my disease, heal yourself first

sad poetry

Wow. You're dreams do matter. You do matter, sometimes it's just hard to feel it. Keep going!!!
