Ollie’s Human Grade Food Delivery Was A Hit With My Picky Golden. Created with: Ollie.
The thought of getting a new puppy is both thrilling and terrifying! Thankfully, these days we are not alone in our efforts to create the perfect home for our furry bundles of joy. A bit of research, and a lot of patience is all you need when raising a puppy. Some of the hardest things to manage when bringing home a new pup are:

Here’s What Your Dog's Personality Is Telling You About Their Diet. Created with: Ollie.
Is your dog kicking around their kibble again? It’s been another crazy year and I’m incredibly lucky to have my family of two fur-babies, five kids, and hubby too. There’s one thing that’s for sure—dog’s, like children, let you know what they like to eat, except children just throw their unwanted food on the floor instead of pushing it aside.

What a Cockatiel Teaches Me About Life, Love, and Neediness
My white-faced cockatiel Boobear has turned 25, and he’s still going strong. The normal life expectancy of these small domestic parrots is roughly 15 to 25 years, but some senior birds live into their thirties. I have high hopes this chubby little character will do the same.

Your Dog Will Teach You How To Meditate: Mindfulness Lessons From Animals
Mindfulness practices teach us to be in the here and now, notice what we are feeling, and bring more awareness into what we are doing. They work to relax the body and mind and reduce stress levels. Most often these are exercises with a concentration on breathing; meditations while standing, sitting, or in motion, which can be combined with other activities such as yoga, sports, or everyday activities.

Whether Your Dog is Goofy, Naughty, or Independent, They were Born a Show Dog! Here's Why.... Created with: Ollie.
Your dog doesn’t need to be primped and preened to be the perfect pup. Boris and Doug know doggone-well that being a show dog means more than haircuts and fluffing up. Bam! My Pet Rhino.
Before I tell you about Bam!, my pet rhino, let me first give you these two disclaimers: 1) Would I lie to you? Of course I would lie to you! I'm a fiction writer and, by definition, that's what fiction writers do. 2) I don't really like these pet challenges since I no longer have any pets. I think it's unfair. It's like having a challenge 'Tell us why you love your Chevy". Well, if you don't have a Chevy I guess you're just shit out of luck. Am I right? Of course I am.

Vocal Brought Me Hope
It all started when my coworker at Vocal, Chelsea, brought in a foster dog to our pet-friendly office. Jake and I had previously decided that we were pushing our dog deadline to Spring of 2022, because Hurricane Ida decided to put my 2012 Corolla out of commission. So, a new car purchase took over our minds and our budgets.

There's WFH and then there's WFH with a needy pup
Arlo Moon is my child. He's a little different in that he has four legs, is furry, can't speak proper English, and has a tail, but he's my son nonetheless. And in case you're wondering, yes, I am a crazy dog lady who spoils Arlo and often prefers his company over that of nearly anyone else. And because I am fully remote, I spend all day, every day, with Arlo (and I wouldn't have it any other way).

I Borrowed my Housemates' Pets this Halloween for a Photoshoot
The only thing better than Halloween and pets is pets dressed for Halloween. Not convinced? Well, there's a good reason why Americans spend an estimated $350 million each year on Halloween costumes for their pets.
