Misty
Warmth and a faint musky scent of vanilla that came from old paper surround me. Smooth gray-brown bark blended into rougher sections of a split-trunk tree against my back. Splotches of summer sunlight danced through the leaves. I am leaning against the left trunk with my feet braced against the right. At the base of the tree is a plastic igloo once white is now more of a dusty gray. Next to it lays a husky, my husky. She has pale red fur mixing with creamy white and stormy-blue eyes. Mom had shaved her fur at the beginning of summer but it’s grown back some. Around her neck hangs a teal collar with a name tag reading Misty.

Furbaby
Every night she goes to bed alone, sometimes there is a tear which she dabs away before cleaning her face in the bathroom. Then she switched the light out and goes back to the bedroom and slips under the duvet, sometimes switching on the electric blanket.

Dog
A good dog food for your dog meets with a specific, high quality ingredient base that provides a high level of optimum nutrition for your pet. Dog food ingredients are selected based on their quality, and are human grade, meaning that they are also used for human consumption. Usually a greater price tag goes along with the purchase of premium dog food as the cost to find, evaluate and test a high quality ingredient can be more expensive, and because of this, some dog food manufacturers substitute quality for quantity and opt for the cheap alternative.

Proper nutrition is very important for new puppies. It is important, because puppies will go through an accelerated growth phase during the first 15 months of their lives, and having a diet that can provide the optimum base for stable growth without exceeding or the depleting of necessary elements is very, very important.

You may all know the importance of daily brushing and flossing for regular good health of your teeth and gums, but that's as humans and also thanks to dental health education being so updated today. But, did you stop to consider the fact that since science has revealed oral health benefits us by lowering our risk of cardiac problems, it could well be the same for our canine pals? Keeping this medical fact in mind, pet owners are advised to pay extra attention to cleaning their dog's teeth regularly to keep diseases such as plaque and tartar at bay; even a simple swipe across Fido's gums with a clean damp cloth should do the trick!

A Tall Tail
The Milligan's Yesterday I got in trouble with the neighbour Mrs. Milligan and reprimanded by Suitcase, so today I am lying low. In fairness to me, how was I supposed to know that the pretty green birdy in the cage was not breakfast? As a rule, I try not to eat other pets in the house, with the exception of Sleepy's hamster, Auggie. If ever I get my paws on that rotating weasel, it will be game over. He is equivalent to a bad roommate who plays loud music all night and in the morning asks you if you slept well? Every night when I am just about to fall asleep, Auggie hops on his wheel, taunting me. He jogs for hours, his face stuffed with seeds. Sometimes he poops and jogs at the same time. Seriously, who exercises like that?

If Dogs Could Think and Speak
My wife and I first met Rufio on our first trip to Australia in 2015 when we went to visit our daughter and her fiancé. We had seen pictures before, of course, but meeting this rambunctious Keltie cross was a treat. Rufio was a happy dog who loved people and who loved to go for walks. I learned early not to say the word "walk" because Rufio would fairly jump out of his skin with excitement.
