dog
It's no coincidence that a dog is a man's best friend; they're more faithful than most other animals, and more faithful than many people.
MY LIL CANINE HERO
Home, What is it? Whether considering it to be someone you know or love, A place, or Yourself. Well, many have their own opinions of the word home. My Home was mostly my Dog Kiara yet she still is as well as my family. My dog is the most loving and kind yet smart and super friendly Chihuahua mix ever. But this is not what I'm here to talk about mainly. Now you see I am here to share a very true memory I went through with her. I had shortened the story but everything here is very real. Like some would say dogs are a man's best friend and I just can't say it any better myself. Anyway, this is a true story that I have kept in for so long only my mom and a few others know but it's time to share my story with the world so it's okay now it's in the past and I am okay to tell it now too because its a story of how I was rescued by my dog, Kiara. My name is Jewel by the way and FYI to this day in my 20's I still am appreciative of my little strong warrior.

Becky
My sister called the new dog Rebecca and insisted we all do so as well. It was a stupid name for this ball of fluff that was a part border collie and part ?? We compromised and gave her the name Becky. It turned out that the other part was Doberman and it seemed that she got the best of both breeds rather than the worst. Becky was our faithful companion until the age of 16 when her old body could cope no more.

Taking Care of a Puppy Taught Me How to Take Care of Myself
The world’s pandemic puppies are going to start turning 2 years old soon. Of course, not everyone who adopted a dog in early-mid 2020 got a puppy. I certainly did though. A sweet little mutt with the bulging wet eyes and curly tail of a pug and the expressive ears and long snout of a rat terrier.

A Day on the Water
Doc Bell said it was time, but Reb's eyes spoke to me as well. "Not yet," they said. I bent to help him to his feet. I shrugged at the Doc, as though to say, "We'll be back." It was one of those times when it is easy to trust your instinct, but difficult to trust your voice.

Golden Girls Meant To Be
I love hearing stories of how owners met their pet for the first time and how they became part of the family because no matter how wild circumstances may be, it always comes down to a matter of fate. That’s how I would describe it when I got my golden girl Meera.

You Were a God Once
I was seven years old when we first got Fern. I was told the breeder was a friend of a friend of the family's, or something like that. We were visiting his house one day when he offered to give us a tour of the dog kennel, and that's when my mom saw her. I know it would be magical to say that I was the first to see her, that I picked her out from the crowd, but I was seven years old. I would have taken all of the dogs if I could've.

Life unleashed
It was that annual time again for the celebration of bluegrass music in the county of Waterford, in the Republic of Ireland. Our family had been fans of the various bands who played there at the festival held there that time of year. Although the weather there was only twenty seven degrees Celsius in the little town of Tramore: to us from one of the wettest areas of Northern Ireland, we denoted this occasional weather as equivalent to a torrid and scorching hot standard. We weren't at all accustomed to these sorts of temperatures, and were weaklings with regard tolerance to the sun.

Red
I only ever had one dog. We met when he was a small puppy. His mother was the neighbor's dog, and surely sensing that her master was about to take her litter away, she had decided to relocate them to take care of them in the wild, pushed by her sense of duty to keep them all together for as long as she could, regardless of the risks she was taking for herself or her offspring.

He Was the Strong, Silent Type
How can you fit a great love affair into a few words? When my daughter was about 7, I was newly divorced and we had moved into a big two-story house in my hometown of Redlands in Southern California. I thought she was old enough to care for a dog so we went to an adoption event where a young, slender Jack Russell Terrier sat nervously in a crate.

You are not alone
When we left the hospital, I was dead inside. It had been the longest two days of my life. Two days prior, I was ecstatic, heading to my ultrasound for our baby’s first unborn pictures. Instead, I found out my life was in danger from an ectopic pregnancy and emergency surgery was planned.
