dog
It's no coincidence that a dog is a man's best friend; they're more faithful than most other animals, and more faithful than many people.
Be a Dog đ! Be a Great Pet Owner.
Canines have been kept as pets for thousands of years. Dogs and humans benefit from each other. This is something that everyone agrees on. It is the dog's responsibility to look after them. These are the things you can do to ensure your dog is happy.

Korky's best day ever
Thereâs nothing we as a family like more than a day at the beach. We can go year-round in all types of weather. The beaches in Ireland tend not to be warm or tropical however. The fresh ocean air of the west coast has a certain healing effect and the waves crashing in and creeping back out is just as therapeutic as a session of vipasanna meditation. Many families go to the beach to get away from the routine of their everyday lives. Some go for a refreshing swim in the cool water, some take a stroll around the various cliff walks and some lounge about on the sandy beaches. We usually do a combination of all those and we have a particular family member who enjoys the occasion just as much if not more than us â our 4-year-old dog, Korky.

Fitz
A rainy 60-degree day in February might not seem like the best weather for a hike in the woods, but for two weeks we have been taking walks through parks and our neighborhood that was covered in so much ice you might have thought we were in Arendelle. A rain storm had come through overnight, and the cold weather kept all the trees, bushes, even grass perfectly encapsulated by centimeters of ice for weeks. It was beautiful, peaceful and serene to walk alone with Fitz while most people stayed cozily locked indoors. I couldnât believe that this storm hit just weeks before we were to return to school after a year of staying home courtesy of Covid-19. It almost seemed like Mother Nature willed us to never go back and I was torn between whether or not I wanted to.

Fugitives of Night
The streetlamps blazed and the cold air of winter burned through my lungs as the fierce pounding of my shoes against asphalt cracked through the night. Frost crept in from the simple swath of dirty snow and nipped at my fingers as I ran fast and far from the screams echoing down the street but the leather leash clutched desperately in my hand was warm. A tether to the future, it stretched as the ferryman, a dog spattered with black spots of night across a canvas of fur as white as snow, dragged me forward. Into the dark.

An Obituary For My Dog, Who Was a Pretty Good Boy
His Royal Highness Sir Nurmal âBuddyâ Conaway died on January 5, 2022, after a brief but debilitating illness. He was either 11 or 12 in People Years â no one has ever been completely sure. Nurmal passed away peacefully in the excellent care of the veterinarian whom he tried to bite on multiple occasions. Nurmal also hated the term âRainbow Bridgeâ and instead preferred that we say he is now running a successful bed and breakfast in Doggie Hell with Satan, as an homage to Season 3 Episode 24 of âThe Office,â which was his second-favorite episode of the series.

Delta the Magnificent
Passing the bio bags didnât bother me. Bio bags were used to collect human remains which were given to coroners tasked with getting DNA samples and identifying the dead. We had dozens of body bags that were of no use; the largest identifiable piece I found was part of a foot in a well-polished Gucci loafer.

Delta the Miracle Pup
I remember the terror in my soul that night. I didn't know what was wrong or how to help her. It was 11 o'clock on a Saturday night. Where we lived there was no such thing as a 24-hour vet. I could tell that she was in pain and there was nothing I could do but wait. I sat and held her all night, almost certain that if I let her go, she would too.

Small Paw Print, Big Impact
My family never had pets in the house for the first seven to eight years of my life. My Grandma is terrified as she was bit by a large Rottweiler when she was in her forties, my mom inherited that fear for years. As for me, I wasn't ever around any dogs growing up that I can remember. However I do vaguely remember when I first encountered fear from a dog. Believe it or not it was Halloween, we knocked on someone's door and without warning two big olé mighty pugs then rapidly charged toward me and my brother. I know what your thinking, pugs, really. As they are not the most threatening of animals let alone dogs.
