Oh. Hello. My name is inconsequential to you as I will never stoop so low as to respond no matter what you call me. However, the only human I actually care for uses the name Amy when seeking my glorious attention. I was told you were interested in learning about my life. A wise choice as I am the most interesting cat in the world. But, you already know that. That is why you are here. You wish to gain superior knowledge from the fountain of wisdom that is me. Where should I begin? Well, I had spent three years in and out of shelters when my current humans found me. I’m quite glad they did, to be honest. Shelters are awful places. Have you seen the strays that frequent those establishments? Certainly no place for an elegant and well-mannered feline such as myself. I was only ever there because I had to escape from all my other humans. I won’t get into why. It just wouldn’t be proper to discuss such matters.

My First Cat
I remember getting my first cat when I was about four or five years old. I don't remember where my mom got it, or if someone gave it to her, but I was happy to have a pet I could play with; we already had at least one dog, but I don't remember ever playing with them even though one would beg for food during meals in our tiny kitchen; my mom or anyone else would throw scraps of tortilla or even a whole tortilla out the kitchen for the dog(s) to go eat outside. We didn't know to treat pets the way people do in the United States.

Omar's Diary
Thank you for your time and allowing me to introduce myself to you. My name is "Omar." As you can see from my portrait, I am a feline of quality breeding, Tonkinese in fact, who has been used to the good things in life, lost them, and is slowly recovering them. Life has not always been kind to me. Before I settled into my current home I was, as George Orwell said about Paris, "down and out." I was not in Paris but in Bournemouth where I was rescued from my homeless plight by a voluntary organisation. They gave me refuge for a few days and then settled me into the place that I now call "home" here on the edge of The New Forest. I share my home with one other feline and two members of the servant species.

My Pussy Roomie
About a year ago, I became a boarder in a house with three cats. It isn't that I actively dislike cats; I am merely indifferent towards them, but I've had to live with the consequences of moving into what used to be Himeji's room— the young girl pictured above.
