Decluttering Cats to Improve Productivity
Like so many others, when March 2020 rolled around I stopped going into the office and started working from home. Let me preface by stating a big thank you to the essential workers that did not have this luxury. I work in information science with remote sensing data, so doing "remote" anything wasn't a big deal. Being able to get work done around my 3 furbabies on the other hand required some "in-the-box" thinking. None of them were 'EmPAWyee of the Month' level talent from the get-go.

Do Pets Go to Heaven
A LOSS of a loved one takes its toll on a person. I experienced this about a year ago when my beloved husband, Herbert, died. At least it was sudden, and he didn't suffer a long painful illness. Herbert went to sleep and woke up with the Lord.

My New Furry Co-Worker
As close as we are to our neighbors most daily activities go unnoticed. Our neighbors to our right have a tree cutting business and as such, have their business truck along with their personal trucks. This one day their activities would be interrupted by their barking dog Mufasa, a raised hood of a pickup truck and several bodies precariously leaning over the truck’s engine.

The Burden of Choice
A tiny kitten lays weak on the cat bed on our porch. One eye matted closed, s/he still sees me with the other. A week ago s/he would scramble away and disappear. Now s/he just lays there accepting whatever fate awaits. The energy to run is simply not there.

Otto
The infamous 2020. Among the horrors and fears, the loneliness and the uprootings, we also saw a complete change in lifestyles. People were doing things they had never done before and doing things they had done before, but in completely new ways. I was one of those people.

My Furry Friends
In the woods, cold, dark, windy. Casted away, Abandoned. My feline friends forgotten. In a cardboard box i found them. So small and apprehensive to my welcoming hand. You were so young, how could you know. That this place. Yes, this place would be called your new home and we became your loving brood. Entering the doorway with wide eyes, and teeth bare.

Happy Go Lucky
You know, when I saw this channel on Vocal, I was excited. I knew who my empawyee of the month was straight away, because I sent a picture I took of her to a popular magazine in the UK. I got £25 quid for it, and a big buzz from the publication. I don’t think she was bothered that much because she dosen’t read magazines much. I think she would shred it to bits if there was one near by.
