My aunt's house is in the countryside, the thatched hut with low hedges, the fields and streams are all new things I have never seen before, but what attracts me the most is her litter of two-month-old kittens. The kittens are like balls of wool of different colors, lively and cute. I have always loved cats, and I can't wait to bring them when I go to the fields to catch dragonflies. A new pet owner
It was the summer of 2022, the sun was blazing and the air was very thick with the smell of the city. I felt so down and depressed in my life. I just moved to the city with my boyfriend and life couldn’t be any better, or so I hope. Day in and day out, just working nonstop. It got to the point we came to a breaking point. We needed to do something to bring forth joy and happiness in our lives. Yes, we love each other very much so that wasn’t the cause. It was the need for a source, substance, or something easier to obtain, a pet. Working early mornings as a part-time truck driver is exhausting. I never have time to spend with my lover. He tells me we should get a pet. I’m more of a dog lover while he suggested a cat.

My cat
I had always wanted a cat. I begged my parents for years, but they always said no. They said that we couldn't afford it and that we didn't have enough time to take care of one. But I never gave up hope. Finally, on my 10th birthday, my parents relented and we went to the animal shelter to pick out a cat. I was so excited when we walked through the door and saw all of the cats running around. There were so many to choose from! But then I saw her. She was a small black kitten with white paws. She was so cute and I immediately fell in love with her. We took her home and named her Simon.
