Charley, my girl
I don’t really know where to begin. It’s not easy with her. I could write and write and never stop, never bothering with sleep or a meal, just keeping at it the whole while, hammering away at this keyboard until my fingers transform into bloody nubs, talking about my girl without pause. Some memories are built within the confines of tight parameters, they sport distinct edges joining beginning to end, but with Charley, well, you can toss normalcy out the window and watch it float about the highway wind, adding yet another page to the slurry of personal histories us travelers deposit in our wake. The whole thing had been an adventure you see, every last biting droplet of life to be wrung from the rag. She was one of those once-in-a-lifetime affairs, and thus I fail to convince myself how a single day nor hour of her time here does not matter to it.

Hunter
Birch The boy stepped through lit trees and cast shadows and his boots made a familiar thud with each step. The treads of his boots were heavy and supported his ankles with stiff leather uppers. The annual fall of leaves and the ensuing decomposing thatch created layers and pockets of air, making the impact of his steps resonate like a slow drum beat. All around, the patchwork of flaky white bark of the birch trees stood like tall skinny pillars of light dotting their way across the brown earth. The Birchwood Forest glimmered in the morning sun as low clouds crept in over the treetops. Light sneaked through from the east and the shallow slanted rays of morning light complimented the chill in the air as it hit the muted forest floor.

The Dog I Didn't Want
When I was almost 13, I finally found the puppy I didn't want. I actually refused to go meet her because my mom told me that she was a Golden Retriever/Border Collie - and I was not the child who loved Golden Retrievers. My sibling did. I thought they were happy, go-lucky, stupid dogs that lick way too much. I mean, of course I loved Buddy and all of those movies, but I had no interest in owning a dog like that.

Dogs to the Rescue
It was a rainy Monday afternoon back in March 2020, when the Covid-19 lockdown had just started in Spain. The timing of this story is important since the Spanish government had just passed their tough restrictions, where you could not leave your house unless it was for work, shopping, or walking the dogs. Living by the seaside in a very small town meant that when you were going for walks, you would rarely see another human being. I would also try very hard to avoid doing so, which is why that afternoon I took the very rocky path near the cliffs of Cabo de Palos.

Finn
I grew up in a small town.Every Saturday growing up I would drive 30 minutes dow. gravel roads to a sheep farm for my violin lesson. Shep was the border collie that lived on the farm. He was smart. My teacher would talk to him like he was a person, and he seemed to understand ever word she said. Sometimes we would get to my lesson early and I would take Shep on a walk, and talk to him. I’d ask him if he liked his job, if he thought I should go away for the summer. We’d saunter through the trees, with me throwing his ball every 10 seconds. Shep was smart. We would head back to the house and he w would walk me in and sit by the piano for the duration of my lesson. Every once in a while he would let out a soft howling roooooo as I was playing. I always took it as a compliment.

Muzzled
It had been nearly two weeks since I had driven the three hours and twelve minutes to Stray Haven Rescue in Upstate New York to pick up my new soulmate. I'd seen her on Petfinder and had my very first experience with love at first sight. I needed this dog. Not much was known about her history; Stray Haven had rescued her from a high kill shelter in North Carolina and she was estimated to be a year and a half old. Also, she had been adopted by a family and returned for biting a kid. Okay, she has a bite history, definitely something to watch for. But still, I needed to meet her.

An Beautiful Day Spent With my Pet Jack
Everyone should have a goal in life, because without a goal life is like a empty glass. My goal is to travel different places and enjoy nature's versatile beauty, no matter either with friends or travel alone, I always enjoy my every trip. Sometimes I enjoy travelling with my friends, sometimes with my family, some times with my pet dog named Jack. Today I'm going share one of my travelling story with Jack, my pet dog. This travelling memory I liked most, because it was a sudden planning and me and Jack enjoyed that day a lot.
