Nala’s Thoughts
I find myself wondering quite a bit about what my dog (Nala) thinks about. Like what goes on in her head when she finds her bone underneath the couch or when she runs around in circles in the middle of the living room or even when she lays down next to me for the six hours that I work every day. She’s got a big personality, so I’m positive that she doesn’t have boring thoughts. Well here is my interpretation of just a few of Nala’s thoughts on daily occurrences based on her facial expressions and emotions when dealing with these occurrences in first person.

Ziggy Dew Equals Love: Part 2
After getting the chance to talk to my future love that one last time after bringing Ziggy home before the long three years of not talking at all, my little furry Ziggy bunny man was the being that brought me the most love and happiness. As you all know, when he first came home with me, he got to meet the throne and live in a giant box, but you will be happy to know I did order him a cage with all the fixings such as a fancy water bottle, which I still have to this day, a litter tray, shavings for bedding, and food and hay for snacking on. Oh, and I cannot forget his stuffed lion. That’s right, I bought him a stuffed lion so he wouldn't get lonely, and let me tell you, he licked that thing to pieces and snuggled with it often. He treated it like it was his own dang pet. It was hilarious.

A Letter to Bean
Dear Bean, When your dad first called me and mentioned you, I was hesitant. He had discovered you when he was on his delivery route. Immediately, he was enamored with you. We had just moved into a new apartment. I had your sister, Pretties. Dad had your other sister, Nacht. We were all still adjusting to our new surroundings. We had barely any furniture. Boxes covered the floor and it was that after move funk that happens sometimes.

Luna the Chartreux
Luna was born on November 5, 2017. It was about a week before February started. A couple had contacted me through Facebook asking to give their last kitten away. I hesitated. I was waiting on a response from someone else about a younger kitten. It was a tabby and she was about 8 weeks. I got so attached to the other kitty, a week went by and I forgot about Miss Luna. I never got a response, so I got back in touch with Luna's parents. I was glad to hear that they still had her and they were thrilled to know that I'd love to have her. After work on January 28, I went and picked her up. She was so sweet and fluffy. Her eyes were grey and so was her silver lined fur. After a few moments of chatter with her parents, we left. Luna's first place outside their house was Walmart. She helped me pick a few things out like toys and a bed. Of course she loves feathers and balls that jingle. After our first journey and time together we headed home. I got her settled in and fed her. She purred all night and slept in her new bed.

A Cat: An Introvert's Best Friend
“Hi Puff!” I exclaimed excitedly as my cat Teenie greeted me at the front door with a loud, jubilant meow. Puff was one of her nicknames, but she was actually a short-haired cat with light gray fur and a small amount of white fur. This was the greeting that I received every weekday afternoon from 2008 to 2010. I was attending community college at the time. I had classes during the day in most of my semesters. As a result, I would always return home around 5:00 PM at the latest. I was satisfied with this because I didn’t want to go anywhere at night. I preferred being in the comfort of my own home after dusk.

Part 1: Ziggy Dew Equals Love
Some people believe in fate and others do not, but from personal experience, I believe it exists. The love of my life came into my life because of fate, or as some call it—destiny. We grew up in the same areas, but never crossed paths. Knew some of the same people, but we still never crossed paths. With that said, we are 11 years apart in age, but love is not defined by age. It took me 25 years to find him and him 37 years to find me, but we didn’t develop a deep meaningful relationship until I was 29 and he was 40. That’s only because we were with other partners. Through our current partners at the time is how we met each other.
