The Puppy Chronicles
It's been fifteen years since I've had a puppy, a Chihuahua I named Maya. I loved her so much, that when she turned two, I went back to the breeder and got her a little brother, named Rascal. Never more than four and seven pounds respectively, they were my forever puppies, my babies even until adulthood and eventual crossing of that rainbow bridge. Rascal's passing just a mere six months ago was more than my heart could bear and I didn't think I would ever have another dog, at least not for a very long time. I felt he deserved a proper mourning period and honestly, I wasn't sure if my heart had the capacity to love so perfectly again. Well, I was wrong.

Cats can teach us how to master an attitude to survive. I was recently inspired to write this because of one little kitten that impressed me. We live on a farm and somehow this little grey kitten wandered into my yard. I have my other outdoor cats, and cats can be hostile to strangers. Izzie & Lyrie
This is the first in a series of interviews with riders and their horses. We first met Izzie in May 2018 at the yard where we have our three horses on livery and have watched her work with Lyrie over the last 12 months. During that time we have seen their relationship grow. We have seen waved her off to competitions and seen her come back. Most times these excursions have been successful. On the few that haven't been so successful, Izzie still manages to find something positive from the experience and keeps smiling through it all.

The Wise Old Owl
