Who am I?

The first step to achieve greatness is first discovering who you are and where you fit in.

The first step towards personal development is to understand who you are. Until you know who you are you can never understand purpose, and in understanding purpose I’m talking about why you were created by God. It is about knowing what you have, why you have it, and how you can apply it to day-to-day life in order to be productive.

What you see yourself to be determines who you portray yourself as in the public. If you see yourself as just a random guy, everyone around you would see you just same. If you see yourself as a loser, everyone would tag you that. And if also you see yourself as winner or influencer, everyone around you will see you it through the conscious efforts you make.

A lot of people have a wrong image of themselves. They try so have to live the life that is not meant for them and in doing so they often struggle to meet up to expectations. The more you struggle the more you lose motivation to keep going, and when that motivation drops, self-belief and confidence makes a down slide too.

Those who have a clear understanding of their abilities, skills, career path, or job, usually have a healthy self-esteem and are highly productive people.  But when you are clueless to what you want, you’ll find yourself jumping from one job or career path to another. And when you keep encountering failures here and there, you will struggle for confidence.

Just so you’d know, anyone who sees himself as a winner or as a highly productive person but doesn’t back it up with actions or works that cements his claim, that person is just like a barrel which makes a louder noise when it is empty. In as much as we have to at some point be vocal about whom we are, more of the talking should be done with our actions.

The big question we all have to answer is… who am i? Who do I want to be? Is what I’m doing currently in contrast to what I aim at becoming? Am I getting better? Are there personal bugs I need to fix?
