What To Do When You Don't Feel Like You're Enough (Part 1)

A Collection Of Tips To Gain Perspective

By Joseph Luke CondrenPublished 5 years ago 3 min read

You are enough. Trust me, you are enough.

The world can harbor an unfathomable pressure. I've felt it, others have felt and I bet that you've felt it.

It's a tough experience.

When you're following your passions, putting the work in or simply relaxing...

The pressure can seep in and put a stop to all of that.

This isn't an article about highlighting the pressure.

This is about subduing the cause.

I am no expert. But I have experiencing anxiety.

I've experienced depression and loss.

I've experienced a lack of worth and a lack of purpose.

I am blessed to be able to write my solutions for you.

If this article can help you, that's all I desire.

----

Understand Your Perception.

----

Every single person in this world has their own unique world view.

What you see, wont be what they see.

What you feel, wont be what they feel.

How you perceive, wont be how they percieve.

Yet, for reality to exist, there must be a static, single experience.

And that's what you have to understand.

The world is shaped by how you see it, born from your experiences and conscious actions.

You are creating the pressure.

Understand this.

Understand that you can have a grasp on your own view of this world.

Once you have, you will be able too...

----

Alter Your Perspective.

----

If we are in control of our own misery...

Then we must be in control of our own happiness.

We let one take power over the other.

When it doesn't have to be that way.

We've advanced far in society, to the point where we know how the brain works on a basic level.

To alter the brain, we must perform small, yet consistent, actions over and over until it feels wrong to not do them.

We will fight ourselves, the brain must protect the neural pathways it's formed for so long.

Yet, you know better.

Small, consistent actions, over and over.

Seriously, start small. Once you have the small, I give you permission to make it slightly bigger.

Be forgiving. The pressure of the world is already enough.

You don't need your own doubts as well.

----

Forgive Yourself.

----

Even if we don't feel it...

We are our own best friends.

You will always be present and you will always want the best.

So prove it.

Humans make mistakes.

Even the most accomplished ones.

As humans, we can never truly obtain perfection.

But we can always obtain forgiveness.

It is limitless and always in big supply.

So just like you would a best friend who has messed up...

Forgive yourself first and foremost.

----

Let Yourself Do Nothing

----

We are Humans. You already know this.

But we also need to do nothing.

Doing nothing is part of our make up.

Society deems this to be unneeded.

Yet, it is slowly waking up.

Do not feel guilty. Do not feel stressed.

Fight the urge to do something at your chosen time.

You need it. Everyone does.

You can relax. I promise.

----

Don't Let A Day Go To Waste

----

There is a concept created by a great man.

He coined it the "No Zero Days".

This ties in greatly with changing your perspective.

One, small thing, everyday.

So small, so tiny, that it's such an easy thing to do.

Go for a walk across the room at a specific time.

Write 1 word in your diary.

Do 1 press up.

Message 1 friend.

You'll find that once you start something small...

You wont want to stop.
