Ways to Identify the Seasons of Your Life
Just as there are seasons of the year, each of us goes through seasons of our lives.

Four Seasons
The year is divided into four seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. It is called Fall only in America. All other countries call it Autumn.
The seasons indicate the order of nature.
- Every person goes through four seasons.
- Seasons affect all of us and everything we do.
We fail when we look for snow in the summer and flowers in the winter. We must be realistic and look forward to the right things happening in the right seasons for our lives, just as we look forward to certain things happening during each season of the calendar year. According to Ecclesiastes 3:1, "To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven."
What Seasons Tell You
- Seasons dictate how to dress. You will not wear your fur coat in the hot summer, no matter how much you love the coat.
- Seasons dictate which activities to engage in. You might go to the beach, to the park, and attend outdoor events in the summer, but not so often during the winter months.
- Seasons dictate what to eat. Oh, how you might love those watermelons in the summer and hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill at cookouts.
- Seasons have a lot to do with moods and attitude. People are usually in a better mood during a season they really like.
Seasons Affect Every Aspect Of Your Life
The seasons are not the same everywhere. They occur depending on where we live geographically. Your personal seasons change as you mature and are open to change.
There is a natural cycle of the calendar year. However, you will be disappointed if you try to parallel your personal season with the natural seasons of winter, spring, summer, or autumn.
Winter
This winter scene is beautiful, but nobody wants to have winter all year long.

Winter is the season with the shortest days and the lowest average temperatures. It has the coldest weather with snow and ice. Winter is a time of inclement weather when people feel the most vulnerable. Winter is the season associated with short days and limited sunlight. Winter is a time when you might feel cold and uncomfortable. Any farmer will tell you, winter is not a time to plant, but to begin planning what to plant during the next season.
Your Winter
Your winter is a time of darkness. It is the most uncomfortable time for many. The trees are barren, and the flowers have withered and died. If you are not careful, you could feel the same way. While you are in your winter season, you should be planning for your next season. It is also the time to exist on what has been stored from previous harvests.
Spring
Oh, the beauty of spring flowers that are plentiful only in the spring.

Spring marks the transition from winter to summer. According to the Bible, spring is the time for romance, with beautiful descriptions of buds and blossoms (Song 2:11-14; 7:11-13). Spring brings new leaves and blossoms on the trees.
Your Spring
Spring is the time to plant and carry out the instructions gleaned from your winter experience. After resting and planning during your winter, you now have the energy to break up your fallow ground. During springtime, get involved in new activities and venture into new opportunities. Find new ways to do old things.
Summer
Summertime is such a wonderful time of the year, but there are three other seasons to enjoy.

Summer marks the warmest time of year with the longest days. Summer is usually hot and dry. People shed their heavy coats and stay outside longer than usual. They enjoy the sun on the beach and the shade in the park. They go on vacation to experience new places and new people in a new environment.
Your Summer
Summer is a time for development and personal growth. You might find yourself being more energetic and creative. You might notice that you are more effective in almost everything you do during the summer months.
Summer is the time to water what you planted in the spring. It is also time to weed out what shouldn't be there. Summer is the most dangerous season, not only because of the hot weather but also because of your motivation. You might act like summer is only for play, but summer is a time for both work and play.
Autumn
Autumn, or Fall, has leaves in beautiful colors.

Autumn or Fall is that transitional season from summer into winter, when the arrival of night becomes noticeably earlier. If what has been done properly in the previous seasons, then autumn is a time of harvest for crops. Autumn is a true indication of what you have planned and planted in previous seasons.
Your Autumn
Autumn is the season when leaves turn to colors of gold, red, and orange in preparation for winter. This is the harvest season of your life, just as it is the harvest of your crops.
Provided you have been diligent during the previous seasons, autumn is the time to reap a bumper crop. It is the season when you will see evidence of your hard work. It is a time of harvesting and storing up for the winter that follows this season.
Autumn, with its colorful trees, is not only the transitional season for nature. It is also a transitional season in your lives. Autumn will help you see where you have come from and where you need to go. This is the season filled with anticipation. If you have been obedient in the other seasons, you will reap a harvest in due season, according to Galatians 6:9.
"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."

- You should embrace and enjoy the season you are in because it will change just as the earth changes with the natural seasons.
- Remember that your personal season will not necessarily correspond with the natural seasons.
- Natural seasons are for all people. However, you might be in the spring of your life while those around you might be in summer, winter, or autumn. In other words, embrace the season you're in, but also respect the seasons of those around you.
- If you miss opportunities in the season you are in, you will have to wait until the cycle comes around again. With an awareness of the season you are in, you will be able to grow and develop into the person you want to become.
- It is important to know that you can't change the season you are in. Even if you don't like the season, you have to stay in that season and wait until it ends, just as nature has to wait until its next season.

- If you could choose one season to be year-round, which season would it be?

I think I am somewhere between winter and spring or just very hopeful for a spring. In nature, my favorite season is fall. It's when I feel the most alive somehow, so fall would be my year round go to. Enjoyed!!!
