According to many Cristiano Ronaldo Biography books, he was born in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal, which is a small island off the western coast of the country. It is known that Cristiano Ronaldo was born on February 5, 1985. Maria Dolores dos Santos and José Dinis Aveiro are Ronaldo's parents. He was the youngest among the four siblings, he was named after the actor Regan Ronaldo. Maria Dolores dos Santos was a cook, and José Dinis Aveiro was a gardener and part-time kit man. His mother was Maria Dolores dos Santos. He had a brother and two sisters who were all older than him. Elma and Liliana Cátia, his two older sisters, shared the name Hugo for their brother. In 2005 while playing for Manchester United his father died due to prolonged alcoholism and some other fatal complications. This was particularly hard for the young Ronaldo as he was very close with his father.
