“Let all your efforts be directed to something, let it keep that end in view. It’s not activity that disturbs people, but false conceptions of things that drive them mad.” — Seneca

A Picture of what you want to achieve in life offers many things. It displays the path to take. And helps you to appraise your achievements to determine whether you’re getting the result that aligns with your values and true desires.

The right picture shows you where the ladder that’s going to take you to the top is positioned so you can put your foot on it and begin to gradually ascend to the top.

Knowing exactly what you want in life allows you to tap directly into your potential. It puts you on the right track and keeps you in the right direction so you can only go after goals that would produce results that align with your true desire, and fits well in the picture.

Creating the kind of future you want becomes possible when there’s a picture to direct your choices and efforts — when there’s an end in view to help you understand the steps you’re going to take consistently and the right habit to inculcate.

Taking time to define exactly what you want in life is overly crucial because every journey taking in the wrong direction due to poor choices places an individual on the wrong route, where current efforts would produce results that would work against previous accomplishments.

You can also step into a snare so easily when there’s no picture or an end in view to keep you on the right track. But when you know what you’re looking for; what it should look like — and feel like when you find it, you’d then understand when you’re being presented with the right opportunity, and when you’re about to make a regrettable life mistake.

Also when you have a picture of what you want, you can discern the right and wrong opportunities. You’d understand that any opportunity that would help you to sidestep big goals won’t let you record meaningful progress in life. Rather you’d continue to get similar results and pile up garbage instead of getting deeper and closer to where you might find gold.

Many individuals lack the grit to go through tough times and the spunk to be more daring because they go about life in a directionless manner. They live in fear and wallow in self-doubt after inviting lots of disturbances and chaos into their lives by finding themselves in the wrong paths.

This is why folks that have a destination in mind have a huge advantage over others. They live with less chaos, stress, and mistakes. They direct their time and effort in the right tasks because they’ve taken time to define their destination. They know what it should look like because they have the picture. And they’d be more likely to face challenging tasks that produce transformational results than others because they have an end in view.

When you have an end in view, you’d understand why you should never take shortcuts. And the more you say no to shortcuts, and the seemingly smooth paths, the more you feel confident in facing the right goals that’d transform your life. This means training yourself to only focus on taking the rough path that yields desired outcome. Going beyond the surface level where many usually succumb and settle for good. And doing the things that a lot of people aren’t doing and earning the price that only a few can earn.

What’s with not being able to move further up to reach where transformation happen? Why can’t you excel and live the life you desire to live? You have to start by seeing what lies above where you’re at the moment. And determine whether the picture you see is worth making the sacrifice.

Knowing what you want is what makes the difference because that’s how you know exactly where to consistently channel your efforts. The ladder stands before us to step on and keep climbing. And you can go as far as you wish if you don’t stop trying.

The top is where exceptionalities glitter in their unique displays. it’s where you’d always have the space to improve and dominate. But you already know what it feels like to be at the ground level.

Successful people haven’t always been at the top. Most of them were at the ground level when they looked up and saw what’s ahead of them. They pictured it, and slowly began to mount the ladder through their daily choices.

Having a clear picture makes it easier to identify and to say yes to opportunities that might be tough to handle because though they’re going to be challenging, you’d say yes to them because you know what the outcome would be. The outcome would fit in the picture of what you’re trying to accomplish.
