The Art of Allowing Yourself to Fail in Order to Succeed
Failure is our friend
The Need to Fail in Order to Succeed, Why do People Fear Failure?
There is no such thing as a perfect person. And there is no such thing as a perfect idea. A few failures on your road to success will help you learn and grow into an independent and resilient person.
Nobody wants to fail, but the truth is that it's inevitable. We all experience ups and downs in life, and we all need to learn from our mistakes so we can be better for ourselves and for others. Failure helps us grow — it doesn't define us, and it shouldn't stop us from pursuing what matters most to us
Many people overlook failures in their lives because they are so focused on being successful. Usually, when someone fails in one thing, they never stop to think about their success in another. Failing shouldn't have to mean you're "bad" or less worthy - failing is just one of the many chances to improve and find success.
The Importance of Allowing Yourself the Opportunity to Fail
“I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.” - Thomas Edison
Fail fast. The mantra goes, "fail fast, fail often." The idea is that you should experiment without fear of doing something wrong or finding an answer. You can then use what you have learned to improve your work.
The idea of failing often may seem counterproductive, but it is actually an approach that can lead to success because it gives you the opportunity to learn from every mistake you make. Failing at something sooner rather than later lets you change course and try a new strategy that could lead to success. If you do not allow yourself the opportunity to fail, you will never know what could have been.
The importance of allowing yourself the opportunity to fail lies in the fact that it is the only way for you to grow. It allows you to learn more about who you are, what your skills are, and what your interests are.
It is important to take chances because not taking chances can lead to regret.
"The saddest thing is for someone to come up to me and say something like 'I'm so happy for you' when I haven't really done anything yet." - Oprah Winfrey
Life isn't simple or perfect. Everybody makes mistakes, learning to forgive ourselves in the process. We find out who we are in the end, what life is really about and what's really important to us through trial and error. You might be surprised by how much you learn about your own inner self when you give yourself a chance to fail.
You will most likely not succeed at anything completely in the beginning but that doesn't mean you should stop trying or never try again. Failure is a place where people grow the most because they learn from it and won't make that mistake again in the future because they know better now.
Here are five things I hope will help you deal with failure in a positive manner:
"Mostly what I fear about failure is the effect on my mother and father." - George Harrison
-Keep on pushing through any situation that comes your way with a positive attitude and you'll find yourself at the finish line.
-Remember that failures are inevitable but they do not have to hold you back from progressing. -Learn from your mistakes and use them as a benchmark for future success.
-Stay calm and don't let problems overwhelm you.
-Do not be afraid to ask for help when necessary and surround yourself with positive people who can offer support and encouragement when needed most
