Letter to my former self
Dear Mark, It’s you. From the future. I know this is going to sound weird; even I am still trying to grasp the complexity of this situation. If you don’t believe my disbelief, look at how I began this letter. How do you even address a former version of yourself? I’m pretty sure you don’t start by calling yourself a dear; that somehow gives off a vibe of conceitedness. Anyway, how’s it going? Ugh, I need to get better at this. I digress.

“You Don’t Have to Understand Life — You Just Have to Live it”
I like knowing things. The winning lottery numbers. Robert Pattinson’s relationship status. What that cute boy behind the bakery counter is thinking. I learned recently that the centre of the galaxy is flavoured like rum and raspberries. Yesterday, I was shown how to disgorge a fish. And now I know that earlobes can sweat (don’t ask me how I know this, but please, do bring a towel).

A chance meeting
"You should do that play on the Camino", Michael said. "Camino? What's the Camino?", was my reply. That is how I came to walk the Camino de Santiago and perform the one-person play "Underneath the Lintel" in the summer of 2017. I walked all 500 miles in 35 days and performed the play 26 times. It was set as a physical challenge but it soon became a spiritual and emotional journey.
