Stop Being a People-Pleaser
People-pleasers are known for doing whatever it takes to make other people happy. While being kind and helpful is generally a good thing, going too far to please others can have serious risks. It can leave you feeling emotionally depleted, stressed, and anxious.

Three Things I Learned from Having Coronavirus
I have Covid19, and it sucks. My whole body aches like the morning after a 16hr workout, the trek from my bedroom to the kitchen feels like hiking, and 100% of the time I’ve gotten a shower I’ve ended up sitting on the floor with my head between my legs and wheezing like a 90yr old smoker. Also, I pooped in my Quidditch pjs when I coughed. Twice.

I Procrastinate for 3 Hours Before Starting Work. Here’s How I Solved the Problem.
Getting into a flow state is the secret to unlocking the best work of your life. Everybody knows that by now. I’ve used flow states to write consistently for the past 7 years. Without this higher state of consciousness, I’d be stuck back in 2014 trying to get over my fear of what other people thought about my writing. Flow states mean I simply don’t give a damn anymore about any of that.

Moldavite: Dangerous Stone That Blows Up Your Life?
Author's Note: This article is a reprint of a previously published Medium story. As the author of The Moldavite Message, I’ve had some pretty off-the-wall experiences with this mysterious green tektite. Is it a powerful stone? Yes. Can it help the metaphysical student blast away emotional and psychological blocks? Also yes.

If You Have to Force Yourself to Write, It Might Be a Sign You Actually Love Writing
Most days, I have to force myself to sit down and write. As someone who’s trying to make it as a freelance writer, I don’t wake up and think, “Oh, I’m so excited to write four thousand words today!”

Knowing When You are Burned Out
Burned Out! You know the feeling you get when your body is about to shutdown because it has done too much for too long without any rest. Have you felt this way? Do you even realize when you are burned out? I have and it was literally only a few weeks ago. I had been burned out before and I guess I had realized it early because this time, this time it wasn’t just my body wanted to sleep, my health was going down.

The Dragonfly Represents Our Loved Ones Visit
The Dragonflies Visit Last night, when we took our dog out to do his business, we came across a dragonfly. I watched as it hovered around the fan's light bulb. It was a big blue dragonfly. I once read that dragonflies were believed to be tied to the spiritual world. According to the belief, these are a sign of a deceased loved one or a guardian angel. I think it’s true because there was no better time than this one to see it.

The Pointless Art of Reinventing Myself
I make a lot of New Years’ Resolutions. Like, a lot. I write them out in a pink bullet journal in neat, color-coded order, and then close the journal and—like so many of us—never look at it again. All the while I loudly declare that New Years’ Resolutions are useless and a waste of time. After all, what really is the difference between December 31st and January 1st? Nothing. Nothing at all, except the undying hope that we can make things better.

Perfectly Imperfect
I love them. I enjoy being with myself and my company. I accept everything I have done and can do either good or bad. These are all very powerful sayings and many people repeat them over and over again. what percentage of people speak, does one really believe them? I feel like everyone will always be fighting against the idea of true self-love and true acceptance. We are all called to enjoy being with us, to love every aspect of our lives. can we really believe it will be easy to just accept them and not be considered proud? Now like everything else in life, we have to take care of one side and not the other side.

Purpose
Writing is so expressive and it can be scary to put yourself out there. I tell myself "I dont want to talk about me", shortly after I hear that small still voice inside that says " sooo what else are you going to talk about?". To me this is hilarious! I tend to set myself aside to only focus on experiences, and while this is can be healthy in some forms of self-development; It can also be very dangerous in others like healing for example. I do this by not allowing myself to BE apart of that experience... did that make sense? I take me out of the equations alot of the times and say "oh I know this and that and this" then I have to remind myself "Well Carisma, you know these things because YOU experienced these things" then its the lightbulb, snowball effect and it now turns into "Wow! I’m a warrior, I’m a freaking phoenix, I’m an angel, I’m not perfect in all my ways, however I always seek the absolute best from any and everything."

Converting Intent Into Action and Long-Lasting Change
It can be as simple as intending to clean the room or as complicated as quitting smoking. But at the end of the day, it is about wanting to change something in our lives. Change, however, is hard. We have all experienced the infuriating feeling of being stuck in disruptive habit loops, to feel like it's impossible to make any lasting changes to our lives. It is easier to swim downstream than upstream.
