The stork
A white stork stands stock still, perfectly balanced on one leg, in the mudflats off the coast at low tide. The stork appears to be thinking deeply, contemplating the meaning of life. Perhaps it is deciding on its next course of action. But it is also possible that it is just being a stork.

Out of the Darkness and into the Light
We live in a different world, a world that has become more than we ever expected or ever wanted. Our lives have become less important and many avoid contact with others due to social distancing efforts due to the pandemic, or because the Fortune 500 companies are creating services and products tailored to convenience and delivery options. When interaction occurs, you can pretty much guarantee that someone will be tailgating you on the streets and highways because they need to hurry up and stop and lack total consideration or care for their safety or the safety of others. Your identity may have been stolen, your credit card may have been used by a hacker who gained access due to a major data breach, or someone you thought was your friend, stole from you and would rather avoid you instead of apologizing.

Independent Living
I am an East Indian married woman, mother of two adult sons. I have flirted with the dream of being independent but did not believe it was possible. My brother moved out of our home when I was about 12. My father passed away when I was 18. I met my now husband when I was 16. I always had male figures in my life that were my anchor.

Today Is the Day We Begin To Love Ourselves.
When I look back at photos of myself I always see my flaws. I remember how I felt that day and pick apart my awkward smile and chubby arms. I remember thinking what an ugly picture. My eyes are so squinty. I wish I was taller. She looks so skinny and pretty next to me.

The Story Of Me
The Younger Years We are born into a world not knowing what the future will hold, from the moment we are brought into life we never know what lays before us. What will we become? Who will we be? Our paths and destinies seem to be a lifetime away, no responsibilities, no bills to pay, we are just clinging to life with everything that we have.

Believe In Yourself !
Most of us are curious about our potential to do great things and reach new heights in the variety of areas of life. The desire to grow is our natural state, and only artificial intervention can separate our natural desire to grow from our desire to act.

GIVE YOURSELF A FUCKING BREAK
I know there are times when I feel stuck. I get out of my habits and get stuck in a hamster wheel. I recently moved and stopped working out because of all the things going on in my life. It's two components with me when it comes to working out. First, I am super introverted; this is why I write. So reticent that I have to psyche myself out to go to the gym. I wouldn't say I like exposing myself in the gym. But now that my gym has Covid rules, only one person can be in the gym at a time; it's small, it's in an apt community.
