Why Personal Growth Is Never A Waste Of Time
We get discouraged when personal growth isn't happening as fast as we would like. We only see our failures and setbacks, and it is hard to reflect on the progress we've made so far. Maybe there are naysayers in your life who know about your rocky past and they're telling you that you'll never change your life. The truth is that personal growth is more like a marathon rather than a sprint. It will take time and patience, but in the end those efforts you made will be worth it. Here is why personal growth is never a waste of time.

Though Your Eyes
You Guys are Truly Amazing. Robert Jr. (B.J.), Mandie and Dominque. I lost my mom to alcoholism. It was the hardest thing to get through. Alcoholism does run through your family, but you have to trigger it. All those times you go out with your friends and have a few drinks. You found out, you can drink your friends under the table, or so you though. I’m 26 and going through a divorce. My girlfriend and I would go out occasionally on a Friday or Saturday night. One night I reach that limit when my alcoholism is triggered. Not knowing what I just did, I soon found myself having a drink or two at home after getting my children to bed. I though it helped get me to sleep, so I wasn’t up all night wondering what went so wrong in my marriage. I was looking for anything to help me forget. My drinking seemed to happen when matters of the heart where involved. I would drink for up to a year, then put it down until the next heart breaking event happened. Though the years my drinking just got worse and worse.

Personal Development & Success - "Creating the Motivation You Need"
Have you ever heard someone say something like, "I haven't felt motivated lately," or, "I'll do it as soon as I feel motivated enough?" I know that I have and, truth be known, am guilty of using these and similar phrases myself. You see, I, like many others, used to believe that action only happens through motivation. That, I must wait around for the so-called "feeling to move me" before I will get anything accomplished.

Louboutins to Hiking Boots
No statement is truer, you just need to be still I had been thinking about writing my experience in the woods, because I already knew I would be slaying yet another fear with the marvels of nature. Sleeping alone in the woods exposed in a fishbowl container, ok it’s not a fishbowl but let’s be clear with the shades up you’re exposed, but in the most magnificent way. The squirrels and I were divided only by the glass, the snow falling looked as if it was blanketing me, it was almost like a 3D feeling within two windowed walls. I cried on the way here, I cried when I parked and I cried when I entered the door, the emotion I felt, was joined with my chipmunk cheek smile that I am here. Not just here in this location, but I am here, I am alive, and I am doing yet another thing I never imagined, I was a city girl, and the woods were not for me, yet I climbed a mountain and now I’m sleeping in a container “Naked and Afraid”, not naked, not afraid but it became a family joke.

Mission Spread Love Not COVID (A Letter To Get You Through These Tough Times)
Dear World, My dream is a better world. Isn't this what everyone wants after all? But…how? Well, let's just say that my overall mission to spread kindness during these dark times isn't some incredible feat. I have not the billions it would take to help the billions of affected. I possess none of the tools to wound a broken heart. I'm but sixteen years old. I must know nothing, right? Well...maybe not, but what I do know is that I what we all can do is try. We can try to mend ourselves and others during this insane era we're stuck in and I'm trying my best simply by writing this letter to you. I personally believe that one act of kindness can lead to many more...so here is my little letter to all those in need. I have a dream that it inspires...I really do because I know we all need it...so, here it goes:
