How to heal fully and properly.
Drinking in the Desert with Strangers
Prologue I leaned back onto the leather headrest, lowered the driver’s seat as far back as it would go, and stared out the open sun roof to the sky above me, stars dotting the inky blackness. Occasionally, a cluster of bats swooped past the open glass, snatching insects drawn to the single light shining from my dashboard.

Let's Pretend
There are a lot of people that are sad. And when they are sad, they don't know what to do. Maybe for some people, it is clear. But I know, for the most part, it isn't. So maybe next time you're sad, you can do some of these things or think about them. Now, these aren't things to make you feel better, they are just the typical ways people go to when they are sad.

How Writing Healed Me
I used to feel trapped by the thoughts in my head. Constantly, I would be pushed and pulled back and forth, dragged down by my mind and my heart, not knowing which way was up. I felt like there was no escape, no way to let out all of the bad things, the uneasy feelings, the confusion that weighed heavy on me for so long. So I kept everything inside, and felt like a burden when I opened up to others, even if they told me it wasn’t true. Talking helped, but it also hurt enough to not want to do it too much.

A Letter to My (Younger) Self
The only way to achieve the impossible, is to believe it's possible. - Alice Through the Looking Glass Younger Me I know things seem impossible to mend with Dad, but I promise that with time and effort to make things right, he will come through. I know you're struggling trying to find the "balance" of what's right and what you should do, but know that with every impulsive action, there are consequences. I miss how I used to be, the young and carefree self I once was, the friends from high school that I used to "hang" out with once I graduated. I miss the new friends I made that I knew had my back, but because of the move to Arizona, you will have a daughter you've always wanted and dreamed about growing up.

Bind in My Mind
No. No, my life isn’t perfect. This smile could crack into a million stories if it had enough fire to melt the steel lips that are just too heavy to open. In fact, these next few lines will probably enforce the cliche lines we have all heard on repeat throughout our childhood, like that same song everyone has heard for themselves that plays on the local radio at 3:00 PM... “don’t judge a book by its cover.” Unfortunately, I stand to say that this very line is not cliche. I’m in a bind. But not physically, not really financially, but mentally. I’m in a bind in my mind.

Speaking Through Your Soul
There are many paths that you can choose to take in this world with the life that you have been given. It's solely up to you of what you make of that short time. You can choose to live a life of selfishness and indulge yourself in every vice known to man since the beginning of time. Drugs, alcohol, pornography, gambling—the possibilities are virtually endless, but if you are anything like me, you feel lost and you cannot seem to place your finger on why you do not quite fit in. Everyone around you seems to go about in their daily lives in a seemingly, endless circle that all ends with the same finality that is the furthest thing from glorious, death. Every single day, we wake up we have a choice. Do we live the same day that we lived yesterday, or do we take hold of what the new day's possibilities have to offer.

God Wasn't There (Ch. 3)
Scars tend to be a multi-faceted thing. When you're injured on your surface, those wounds tend to heal without much scarring. Generally, the deeper the wound, the bigger the scar. While there are always exceptions to the rule, most people walk away from an injury with some kind of marker or reminder that that injury happened.

It’s Never Too Late to Live a Life of Your Dreams. Top Story - January 2019.
“For what it’s worth: it’s never too late to be whoever you want to be. I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start over again.”Scott Fitzgerald

The Crazy Rambles
Let's just say multiple people can be in the same person. They can pretend to be a million things. They can be a beautiful person that has their face painted on every day. They could be that person who bottles everything up. They are the ones that turn to alcohol and drugs just to get by and help them feel better.
