Why You Should Not Worry
Dear reader, if you are reading this, it is possible that you have something to worry about. It could be your future career, it could be that you're late to work every day, it could be that you know you are going to be laid off, it could be anything really. As a third child, I have learned a valuable lesson, which I believe my older siblings have missed out on. I have learned that everything will work out in the end and to not worry about things going the wrong way.

Make Yourself Happy!
I keep telling myself that life gets better and everything happens for a reason, but most days I'm not so sure that is true. I have been through a lot throughout my childhood and I do believe those tragic moments in my life made me who I am today. Sometimes that is enough for me to be happy but how do you really make yourself happy?

How I Moved Out of My Hometown
I've had a goal to move out of my hometown since I was around 16... I'm 22 now, boo. When you come from a very small town (2,000 people type small) with only one traffic light, two gas stations, have about 65 kids for an average class, and you are forced to drive 30 minutes just to get to a Walmart... yeah, you dream of leaving.

The War on Words
Human beings are funny creatures. It's said that most of our communication doesn't even happen through words, but body language. How does that apply when speaking to yourself though? What's the "body language" of your inner voice? Let's dive in, shall we?

Living a Comfortable Lifestyle or Just Making Ends Meet
I often ask myself the same question over and over again. How much money do I need to make to live comfortably? It’s a different answer for everyone, but why does it really have to be a different answer? Don’t we all have the same wants and needs as everyone else? Apparently not. Depending on how you grew up you’ll become accustomed to live a certain way. Some people do make enough to live comfortably but continue to live beyond their means. Whereas, there are others that make more than they ever need and continue to horde away their money.

4th of July in the Hills of Montana
I have been very lucky so far in my short life to have been blessed with the opportunity to travel, and have had many unexpected and transformative adventures. On one such day, I found myself at the house of a friend of a friend of a grandma’s friend on the 4th of July up in the hills of a tiny rural town in Montana. There was beer and fireworks and food to feed thousands, which was lucky, considering that there seemed to be thousands of people there.

Today I Was Happy
Today I was happy. Truly happy and content. Even the horrible anxious thoughts that tried to penetrate my tired brain, I just brushed them away like they hadn't been burdening me all my life, and I genuinely thought I need to scream this to the world that I am happy today. Because I genuinely thought it's about damn time.

Wisdom in Still Moments
As a believer in God, I trust that all life experiences happen for a reason. That life plays out exactly as He intends it. That He ultimately knows what is best for me. That while I plan and have hopes in the future, God knows and plans better than I do.

A Letter to Me
Dear Self, I want to congratulate you on making it this far and realizing your worth. I am sorry you had to go through so much pain and suffering that almost destroyed you. I am sorry that your heart is good, and your kindness is seen as a weakness. I am sorry that you did not see the wolves for what they really were.

Brutal Honesty
I think the first thing is to acknowledge who you are no matter what. See, in todays society, it's really hard to feel good about yourself. Why? Well, how many times have you heard that you are special? That you are going to change the world, that you have the most beautiful face, that people can't understand your genius, or God knows what else. How many times have you scrolled on Instagram for hours in your bed and couldn't help, but think what a boring and ugly life you have compared to all these other people who all seam to be in fucking Bahamas. That perfect crystal clear water that is missing from your Instagram feed so much or the damn turtles. Let me tell you something, if a studio would ever make up a dream set (Maldives beach) and charge for the photo there would be a one month waiting list for the fake photo with the little lights.

I Believe in Nashville, Because It Kept Me Alive
This "I Believe In Nashville" mural is a staple in literally just about every single person's trip to Nashville (especially you, bachelorette parties). Of course, I had to take a photo in front of it as well to post to mark my two years of living in Nashville (shameless plug for you to see this post on my Instagram @patrickweaver).
