How a Dancing T-rex Alien Best Friend Changed My Life
"If you could do anything in the world, what do you want to do? It's a simple question, yet the majority of us will find an easier time identifying a list of what we do not want to do; a list of things that provoke our discontent.

Women Who Inspire
“Yukasama” is what I call her. Though I only refer to her by this name in my mind. And I’m sure if she knew this, she would give me that patient look, the same she gave me the one time I used this name with her in person, and would correct me again now, the same way she did then; “-san, not -sama.” In Japanese, the native language and culture of the woman I am writing about, the suffix “-sam” added after a name indicates the normal form and title “Mrs.” or “Miss.” However, add another syllable to the end of the normal form, making the suffix “-sama” at the end of a name, then the title of this person is raised by respect to mean something more along the lines of “sensai.” It’s a suffix title used to refer to those who are deserving of the utmost respect and status in Japan.

Unplugged - Fireworks
Put the phone down. While most choose to automatically whip out their phones and tries to take pictures of something beautiful that will fade all too quickly, I choose not to. Sometimes, you have to let life work its magic and allow yourself to be surprised and in awe of the wonders of nature. I take fireworks as an example - although you have seen fireworks displayed many times, we can coherently agree that not one firework looks the same. Therefore, when you witness something so beautiful and amazing, why not just be aware of your environment, company, atmosphere, and just enjoy the moment without giving in to the urge of constantly taking pictures. No matter how many pictures you take, you'll never be able to feel the same anyways, so just put the phone down. Instead, bask in the moment, don't miss any second of the moment, embrace the person you became prior to this moment, feel connected with those who are enjoying the moment with you, gives thanks that you are alive to experience this moment, and give a silent prayer to welcome even more moments like these in the future.

Home is a place within you
Is “home” a place or a feeling? That is something I’ve begun asking myself lately. Two continents, six cities, and ten years after I first left my home country, I’m only beginning to find comfort in discomfort. Visa after visa, I’m forgetting what a Sunday lunch ritual with family feels like and learning to let go of material possessions that exceed my 20kg luggage limit.

Quarantine Vibes; Positive Message for all of those that feel discouraged
This quarantine was something beyond anyone’s imagination. Everything seemed to be going so right since the start of this year; we were all making plans for the summer, accomplishing our new year’s resolutions, being productive at school and at work. Then, out of nowhere, all of these are ripped out from our grasps. We can no longer leave our houses, we can't see any of our friends. It becomes a challenge to simply get some work done or exercise after a long days’ worth of doing nothing. Those sticky notes with all our play dates, family getaways and road trips are being peeled one by one off of our calendars. To make matters worse, boredom, procrastination, laziness - the things that we try to avoid in our lives each and every single waking moment - are becoming harder and harder to avoid. What is there left to do other then watch Netflix and munch away at everything in the pantry? What's the point of doing our work if we can just stay in bed instead scrolling through Instagram, laughing at TikToks or making fake tinder accounts to catfish some poor souls? Never in our right minds had we thought that our lives would come to this.

An Open Letter To The Easter Bunny: From April 2020
Oh dear...would "Happy Easter" be an appropriate word to say to people in these fuzzy, confusing and dark times?! Yes dear reader, you could be reading this letter right now (as at the time of writing this, as of Easter in 2020), or even a year from now...perhaps even 2,5, 20, 50 or even 100 years from now. If you happen to be in the latter camp of readers at the time: let me remind you that we were all having to self-isolate and #stayathome due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic...way beyond our normal. Easter 2020 is/was a forced dark period on every single human alive...even a forced period of an unplanned vacation, depending on your point of view.

How to feel beautiful.
Being the one who is either rejected or to afraid to be accepted for fear of rejection, life got a bit maddening for me. Being the ugly duckling growing up has never really allowed me to understand myself as anything other than a poor girl no one would sit by.

Tech and Time
Living in this modern day and age, the age of technology and consumerism we can find that people are becoming more and more reliant on objects and personal gain. Has this made us more selfish as individuals? And do we feed off of instant gratification?

We are mortal beings. If it was never at the forefront of our minds , the current COVID-19 global pandemic surely has us all thinking along those lines now. Love More: 3 of My Favorite Things. Second Place in Love More Challenge.
I spend an unhealthy amount of time on the internet. Throughout these online perusal sessions, you may mistakenly come across certain material on the screen that makes you want to shove whatever device you're using into a deep, dark pit of fire that accurately sums up your feelings on the matter at the time.
