happiness
Happiness, defined; things that help you find happiness, keep it, and share it with others.
Seeking happiness in the now
Isn’t the best course of action in life to seek happiness in the now? I believe that as people, we have been conditioned to look at what we don’t have and focus on that. It seems counterproductive to me, because the more you think about the lack of something, the more it won’t show up in your life. If you are searching for a partner, searching for more money, searching for an abundance of anything, aren’t you affirming to the Universe that you don’t have it and you want more of what you don’t have? You’ve already established your trajectories; you live in a world where you’re already accustomed to your wants, so create the feeling of being prosperous now. If you can apply feeling good, focusing on the positives, you will pave that path for your creations to come to you! If you’re in a relationship that isn’t serving you, aren’t you focusing on the negative aspects of that partner? What traits of your partner do you think are being mirrored back to you, then? The good ones? I would 100% say no to that question!

One Tiny Leaf of Gratitude
I volunteer in a building that houses several different non-profit and county agencies. My position is one of those sit-at-your-desk type of jobs that is computer dominated, so I set a timer to ring on the hour. When my phone chimes, I take a short break from my office and go on a walkabout from one end of the building to the other, circle out and around the block, and re-enter the building with renewed focus and fresh energy to make a difference and change the world, one keystroke at a time.

Minds' Cornucopia
Another day of life. It seems my mind becomes embalmed in the utter chaos of its' intruding thoughts. Lines between what is, and what isn't become blurred, as if one were struck by some unknown assailant. Existentially, there becomes a desperate plea to understand this pain. Herein, lies humanity, and all of the abundant entrapments. All of innovation has wrestled with the universe, seeking to find the reasons to these very things we all see.

Booyah!
Most of the country is currently in a big natural walk-in freezer, and in many places the temperature is lower than in Denver where I live. As I write this, it is 10:30 in the morning and the outside temperature is -3 degrees without the wind chill. Mind you, no one has to tell me "Yeah but it's (-10 or -20 or -30) here where I live!" because I know, I get that. I am relating MY reality, that is all.

The janitor
At some point we realize we wasted half of our life not appreciating the ones around us. We move about the world like there is no time left but one man knows what it's like as he sits in the shadows of others as does his janitorial duty. The Dr's and nurses get all the praise as the patients get all the attention and this one man does his job as if this would be his last day. Paying attention to all the detail and taking the time to get to know the patients in the hospital. This man has seen it all and heard everyone's stories. Little did he know that one patient was about to change his life forever. For this man has never asked for anything but has always wished to make things right with his past. He knows what it's like to have a lot and to be with out, he finds the simplest things in life brought him much joy. A patent in room 312 that the janitor came to see everyday had no family or friends as he sits in his bed wasting away and only days left to live. The janitor went every single day to check up on his friend Mr. Jones and talk stories, he loved hearing his life stories and how he went from rags to riches. They created such a wonderful bond that Mr. Jones finally understood what it was like to have a true friend by his side every single day as his time on earth was ticking down. One day the janitor went to room 312 to check up on his friend Mr. Jones and finds that his room is empty and a note on his bed addressed to my dearest friend Steven from Mr. Jones. As Steven opens the letter and starts to read it, it says “In these last days you have made me fell the happiest I've ever been as we shared our stories everyday. I realized what it means to have a true friend. I remember the day you shared your story that was in your black note book and all the wonderful and amazing things you wanted to do but i also remember you sharing the regrets you have in your life. I want you to know i understand what it's like to have regret and i wish i could redo my life all over again but you have helped me so much through my last days that i want to bless you with $20,000. I want you to live the best life that you can, make your dreams and goals come true. I believe in you as you did in me, it said" as tears ran down his face and in shock , Steven dropped his mop and sat on the bed where Mr. Jones once laid. Not too long after Steven was done reading the letter a lawyer walked into the room asking are you Steven, he replies yes that's me. The lawyer says I have the will of Mr. Jones and being that he had no family he has put you as his only beneficiary to inherit his $20,000. Steven continued to cry and asked why me. The lawyer replies Mr. Jones addressed the $20, 000 to my only and dearest friend. You made his last day here in the hospital the most memorable days he has ever had, you are more than deserving of Mr. Jones will. Steven went out of the room and headed to the brake room, still in shock but also heart broken, he sat down and opened his black note book remembering all the good times, the bad times and his bucket list that he didn't get a chance to accomplish, reminiscing on the past and wishing he had made better choices when he had the chance to do so, wishing he had done more to help the people around him. Steven decides to open up his own homeless shelter where there would be beds, food, clothes, medical, dental and jobs available to all those that needed it free of charge. Pro vivian dreams would be the the place that Steven wished he had when he was homeless due to spending all his money foolishly. As he struggled to get on his feet, Steven had put together a bucket list before wanting to end his own life but with the grace of God Steven got a second chance and was hired at the hospital as a janitor. Steven made a promise to himself that he would grow himself to be better and to always help others. As Steven accomplished one of his biggest goals he started to feel sick, light headed and had a loss of appetite. Steven decides to go to the Dr's, to get a check up and found out that he has cancer and only three months left to live. Once again in shock Steven finds himself lost and confused, what am I gonna do? Steven says holding onto his black note book with tears in his eyes. Remembering the promise he made a few months back, Steven opens his black note book and calls his family starting with his mom wanting to make things right for abandoning them and focusing on his career. Steven spent the next two months with his closet family members helping them get on their feet and strengthening the family while building memories he had missed out on. In his last month Steven had been hospitalized and found himself in room 312 where his dearest friend Mr. Jones laid. As Steven wrote out his will he noticed there was a new janitor who had her own black note book that she carried around with her. He would talk with the new janitor every chance he got and told her I don't got long to live and I want to bless you with my business I started a few months ago before finding out I had cancer. I started a homeless shelter called pro vivian dreams and would like you to carry on my legacy. In shock the new janitor had tears running down her face, Steven asked what's wrong, she replied “ I had spent the last few months homeless and because of your organization I was able to get this job and provide a home and food for my two kids. Steven filled with love and fulfillment closed his eyes and took his last breath.

My Little Black Book
I carried it with me everywhere I went and for as long as could remember. My grandmother gifted me a little black book when I was a teenager. It looked more like a black leather journal that was handwoven from the 18th century. She said that the book held mystical spiritual energies that would reveal themselves to me in time. She told me to journal in it whenever I felt unhappy, mad at the world, or exciting news that brought happiness to my life. My little black book would be my confidant, my best friend, and my shoulder of support that would get me through the next several decades.

Private Location
Hometown feature During coronavirus/pandemic situation, the place I could call home, that I tend to believe whom treated me with total respect, love and most importantly safe will always be remembered in my heart. Not only do they have the best care system within the community, university, restaurants, parks for your love ones and places to do great photography, but every community in this city are welcoming including myself. I met a lot of good/interesting people, shared a lot of laughs and major thoughts, took some drama but the love remains. In this city i became an entrepreneur/business owner, of one of the best professional cleaning company called Diamond Clean LLC, diamondclean.biz, 20%off any deal until July 7th, 2021 and making sure everyone is being fair, to keep more of the peace and love around. It almost reminds me of my Hometown, where my life started, with most of my history/memories come about, Brooklyn, New York. I can’t imagine, the devastating impact they went through during the pandemic and I hope for the recovery where no mask can happen again. Folks had their own thing, basketball, baseball, kick ball, tennis, even chess to keep them occupied, I had my sport of all times, Handball, though I didn’t really play in many tournaments I just love the sport for fitness wise and to come together with different communities/cultures. I do wish for the private city I call home now, definitely should put that sport somewhere public in one of the beautiful parks/space you have around.
